Recording: HIGH DEFINITION disc camera in use
Per november 2006 ALL productions are shot on HIGH DEFINITION with a Sony PDW-F350 XDCAM HD camera. Thanks to recording and editing in HD every production is ready for distribution in High Definition and at the same pricerates as the standard definition productions!!!
Also the way this camera works is completely new and different compared to tapecameras. It's much more efficient thanks to it's XDCAM HD disc of 23,3 Gigabyte per disc. A wrong take can immediately be deleted so no unnecessary material is recorded, saving time and money during editing. The build-in color viewfinder also adds to operational convenience in checking colorbalance and allowing direct full-color playback without the hassle of external equipment.
There are various choices available in recording formats. It is possbile to record in standard definition (DVCAM) if deired, but in most cases one of the High Definition standards will be choosen. Usually this will be 1080i 50Hz or 25P, but also the USA standards 1080i 60Hz 24P, 30P are possible.
The camera delivers an outstanding picturequality, perfect to the last details.
Ofcourse we can use extra lights (for moods, effect and/or overall quality).
Soundregistration can be done on the spot by use of various options like handheld wireless, boompole, wireless reversmic. Alle wireless mics we use are received by diversity receivers to prevent accidental "dips" in the audio due to lost of reception.
Audio is recorded in CD quality onto a maximum of 4 channels.Also "Greenscreen" shots are possible. In that case a presentor stands for a green screen. This green backdrop will be replaced in editing for any other image, be it video, foto, graphics or a mixture of those. The presentor can read his/her lines from a teleprompter (also know as "autocue") if so desired. The text appears in front of the lens of the camera and by reading the lines the presentor looks right into the camera at the audience.

On the editing:
Editing is done in HD on an AXIO editing system and final delivery can be on Blu-Ray in High Definition, on DVD in Standard Definition or in Webstream format of your choice.
With the use of XDCAM HD discs the loading time of the videomaterial is reduced heavily compared to videotape. Now this has become quick filetransfer in stead of real-time digitizing. The XDCAM discs are seen by the computer as another harddrive and while copying to the actual harddisc editing can start as soon as the first file is on the system.
The combination of a Dual Opteron, Dual Core computersystem and the AXIO hardware, a lot of realtime video en graphicslayers with colorcorrection, blurs etcetera are available which allows even more room for the creative process.
On this system we can also output to MPEG1, MPEG2, WMV, Quicktime, DIVX, Flash, etc. to make the necessary stream for your website, I-Pod, PSP, CD-Rom, VideoCD or DVD.
On the distribution side:
Most procutions end up on DVD (Standard Definition) or webstreams in various formats. We advise the use of the Flash-video format for webuse.We can delivery you video in Standard Definition on DVCam or Betacam for broadcast, or on VHS or DVD for distribution. VideoCD's, CD-Roms and DVD's can be burned and printed up to a few hundred copies. Higher quantities of CD's or DVD's will be pressed, starting from 500 pieces. Please contact us for actual price quotations.
If you want to get the maximal potential from your production we can delivery it in Hight Definition on a Blu-Ray disc, or make any HD Stream you might need.
